Dialyspa Joins the 2012 AKF for Kidney Action Day in Houston
On October 14, 2012, the American Kidney Fund held their Houston Kidney Action Day and walk-at-hon at Discovery Green. The purpose of Kidney Action Day is to educate those at risk for chronic kidney disease.
The leading causes of this disease are easily screened, and actions can be taken to prevent it or slow its progression if detected early enough.
The rates of kidney disease in Texas are above the national average, so this event was helpful to Houstonians wanting to learn about their risks factors.
